Nutrition Wellness ConsultingWould you like to gain valuable “health insurance” through better eating habits and appropriate nutritional supplementation but are confused by ever-changing news reports? Would you like to achieve this goal in a cost-effective and affordable manner? Approximately two-thirds of Americans take nutritional supplements on a regular basis according to the Council for Responsible Nutrition.1 Both physicians (the AMA) and health professionals (Harvard School of Public Health)2 believe that our modern diets often provide inadequate levels of crucial nutritional factors. This is because of poor dietary habits, poor digestion and absorption, poorly prepared foods, diminishing soil quality, life-style stress, and environmental poisons in our water, soil, and air. Both the AMA and Harvard therefore recommend the use of nutritional supplements because “[i]nadequate intake of several vitamins has been linked to chronic diseases, including coronary heart disease, cancer, and osteoporosis.”3 Nutritional supplementation is exactly that — supplemental to good, solid, eating habits and food choices. After examining your current diet and identifying weaknesses I will suggest making several crucial changes and how best to accomplish them. Very few of us can maintain the “perfect diet” and that’s why I often provide recommendations for supplementation. In addition, if you have current health challenges nutritional supplementation can often help you deal with those problems more effectively. Advantages for health conscious consumers
